Companies or Bisuness Business Units that are enrolled in E-Verify must use this setup to interface with the USCIS E-Verify system. After registering with the E-Verify, the Company/Business Unit must be added in this setup to access and create E-Verify cases for its newly hired employees. If you are not planning on using E-Verify, this step is not needed.

What are the fields on DHS Client Setup page?

For each Company value the system allows you to set the User ID and Password for the DHS web services account.The fields on the DHS Client Setup page is exaplained as below:

  • Each company can use a different DHS User ID and password (or the same). Add a scroll row for each company.
  • The User ID on the DHS site that the company uses for communicating with USCIS E-Verify.
  • The Password for the user on the DHS site that the company uses for communicating with USCIS E-Verify.
  • Re-type the Password.
Allow Batch DHS Case Creation
  • This option is used for batch case creation purpose.

Click 'Add' to add a new company to this setup.

Go through the password rules and enter New Password and Confirm Password. Click on Set Password.

If the password chosen is as per the password rules and the new password is successfully updated in DHS, the page navigates back to DHS setup page with password saved message on top of the page.

If you have multiple companies setup for E-Verification and if you have to reset the password for other companies, repeat the above steps for each row/legal entity that you have setup.

A new row is added as shown below. Click on the lookup icon to choose the Company.

Select the Company that you want to add.

Enter DHS web services User and Password details. Click Save.

If you want to make sure the current password setup is correct, click on Verify Connectivity link for the company that you just reset the passwordadded
