This is the part where you test your Rules against the Security and Access defined in PeopleSoft. Every Validation creates a new Validation ID, this ID stores all of the results ready for reporting over. Every time you run a Validation, previous results are not deleted. There is a seperate separate process for the purging of Validations.

Step-by-step guide

Navigate to Smart Solutions → Segregation of Duties → Process → Process Validation

  1. As with any Process, you can search for a Run Control ID or create a new one.
  2. In the Process Validation page you can now enter the Model, the as of date (set to today's date), you can also choose to validate all Users or one and to validate all Rules or one. Validating individually is helpful for testing new Rules or new Users without having to run a full validation.
  3. When you have finished with your selection you can run the Validation, and then review the results in the Dashboards.

Info
The validations use the Application Engine native to PeopleSoft, processes can be scheduled and more - just as any other process is managed and run in PeopleSoft.
