If your organization's Authentication Preferences has Two Factor authentication enabled, when you change your "Preferred Email Address" or "Preferred Phone Number" you will need to verify the new email address or the phone number (with Country Code of the Preferred Phone Number is equal to "001").

In case if the Country Code of the Preferred Phone Number is not equal to "001", you will not be asked to verify the phone number.
