When the restart action is performed, the process state of the transaction changes to the 'Restarted' state which can be viewed by navigating to Invitation Console/Elasticsearch Invitation category.
Before restarting Section 1 activity from E-Verify, let us check the current process state of the above invitation through Invitation Console or in Elasticsearch Invitations category.

To perform 'Restart Section 2/3', click on 'Restart Section 1/ Section 2 or 3' button provided at the bottom of the E-Verify page.

The Restart Activities page opens as below:

Select Restart Group as 'Restart I-9 Section 1', enter Comment and click 'Submit'.

Click OK on the message to confirm the restart process.

The page navigates to Process Viewer and shows Complete I-9 activity as pending under HR Tasks. If it is a New Hire scenario the process switches to Section 2 whereas in case of rehire the process switches to Section 3.

When the restart activity is initiated the following email will be sent out to the I-9 Specialist.
