What is a revision?

A revision is a change , or set of changes that are made to Smart Onboarding by an Administrative User.   Using Through a revision, a user users can add and modify content to be used, specify where the new content is will be used within in the onboarding process, and determine who sees will see it.   For each revision, the date Each revision includes a specified date for when the change will take effect is specified, allowing the user to introduce changes in users to schedule updates for the future without impacting affecting the current process.

There are two different three types of revisions: 

Content Revisions allow : Allows Administrative Users to add or modify content that is used within the onboarding process. There can be many Content Revisions open at any a time. For details on various content types which can be configured through a Content Revision, please refer refer the Content Revision page.

Process Revisions allow : Allows Administrative Users to modify include content that was added or changed in a Content Revision, review and alter the onboarding processflow, and add or attach contextual onboarding content for specific attributes. There can be multiple Process Revisions across different business processes in an organization. For details on configuring business processes using Process Revision. Attribute Revisions allow Administrative : Allows Administrative Users to add/modify process attributes and add home page content specific to few attributes. It can also be used to display specific content to the user or change notification templates that are related to authentication events. For change the content and presentation of emails that are sent to new hires and users outside of the business process (e.g. actions related to invitations). For details on adding/modifying attributes, please refer refer the Attribute Revisions page.

Why are revisions needed?

Revisions are required to modify the Smart Onboarding process, and each type serves a specific purpose. Content Revisions are used to add new content or change existing content that is used in update content within the system.   Process revisions are used to change Process Revisions adjust the onboarding process , and incorporate contextual onboarding content. Attribute Revisions are used to change/ add or alter attributes used in the process and change home page to modify the default homepage content.

Revisions can be accessed through the Menu icon in in two ways:

  • Click the menu icon on the top left corner of the page

Content Revision

Content revisions Revisions allow Administrative Users to add or modify content in within the onboarding system.  This This content can later be added to incorporated into a homepage configuration or added to included in your business process through via a Process Revision.  Content Content Revisions can also be used to change update notifications, set up verification vendors, etcand more.  Many Multiple Content Revisions can be in process at the same time. For details, refer Content Revisions page.active simultaneously.

Process Revision

Process Revisions allow Administrative Users to specify determine where content is used in within the onboarding process.  Administrative Users are also able to perform other functions such as They also allow users to configure business process rules, manage Events & Notifications as well as , and add Ad hoc Reports to be downloaded for download during the onboarding process.  

Attribute Revision

Attribute Revisions allow enable Administrative Users to add /or modify the key data (attributes) used in the onboarding process and change the home page content. Using adjust homepage content related to specific attributes. With Attribute Revisions, you can define your own custom attributes and use them in the Process Revision to control Revisions to control access to the content or pages in within the onboarding process. This is very useful if you want to segregate displaying content to the users based on their role types or the attributes such as company, location or department etcparticularly useful for tailoring content display based on users' roles or attributes such as Company, Business Unit, Location, or Department.

To create a new revision, click "Create Revision" under Revisions from the left menu navigation or click on the "Add/Update Revision" link from the quick links bar.

On the Create Revision page, click "Add a New Value".




 Enter  On the next page, enter the revision information - Revision Type, Revision Date, Description and Business Process ID.
