New Hires are provided with certain self service actions in case if they have to perform corrections/updates to their I-9 information presented in previous completed Form I-9. When the self-service process is initiated, an additional invitation is launched against New Hire's registered business process which will allow them to continue with the new correctioncorrect/update processthe previous I-9 information.

However, the system allows candidates to perform one action at a time. If the previous process is already running, it will not allow New Hires to launch or initiate another process until the previous process is completed. The following error message will be displayed when you try to initiate another process while a process is running.

What are the options available under Self Service actions?
Initiate I-9 Reverification
Initiate I-9 Reverification option is for the New Hires who want to submit the revised information of their employment authorization documentation when their current work authorization or work authorization documentation (which ever is sooner) is due to expire in the next 90 days. During reverification, the New Hires must present valid document (any document found under List A or List C of the List of Acceptable documents) that shows their continued employment authorization. The process can be initiated by the New Hires through Self service actions before .
Note: Reverfication is not allowed for US.Citizens, Non US citizens and LPRs (Permanent Resident card or Alien Registration card).
If New Hires with the above eligibility try to initiate I-9 Reverification, the following error message will be displayed.

New Hires other than the above categories can initiate this process within 90 days to the work authorization/document expiry. If the number of days is more than 90, the New Hire will be asked to re-initiate the process only when the expiry date is within 90 days.

Note that a A new invitation is created for the process and Section 1 is open opens up to make changes. Use preparer/translator if assistance is needed in completing this activity.
Note: This aditional invitation inherits the proxy users/preparers that are assigned with the main process.

This option is applicable to the New Hires who have Applied for SSN (must have chosen 'Applied for SSN' option in their prior onboarding/I-9 Process) and have the pending activity of submitting their SSN to their employers. When the Social Security Number is available to them, they can update their Social Security Number to their employer If the New Hires try to initiate SSN update for the processes that do not have 'Applied for SSN' option chosen in their prior onboarding/I-9 Process, the following error will be displayed.
After receiving Social Security Number, New Hires can initimate their employers by initiating SSN Update self service action.
