This restart action allows users to reopen the previously completed onboarding activities after the DHS process is initiated for the New Hire's I-9 ID. Using this option, the users can resume Admin as well as New Hire actitivities.
Who can do restart activities from E-Verify?
Only E-Verify Specialists can perform restart actitivites from E-Verify.
How do you perform restart activity from E-Verify?
Click My Tasks on the home page Quick links bar.

Which activities can you restart from E-Verify?
Form I-9 Section 1, Section 2 and Electronic Biographic Information (EBI) are the activities you can restart from E-Verify.
How do you restart Section1/Section2/EBI?
When the restart action is performed, you will be navigated to the Restart Activities page.

Restart Section 2/3
Click Restart Group dropdown and select Restart I-9 Section 2/3. Enter comment and click Submit.

Login as If it is a New Hire scenario the process switches to Section 2 wheras in case of rehire the process switches to Section 3.
The I-9 Specialist and can navigate to My Tasks to access the above Complete I-9 pending activity.

Section 2 opens up for the I-9 specialist to edit the document details and attest. Until Section 2 is completed, the E-Verify activity will be on hold.

The I-9 Specialist can also Restart Section 1 activity from Section 2.

The process navigates to E-Verify activity after the completion of Section 2. You can initiate the E-Verify case and continue the DHS process.
