Attributes are basic data elements in the Smart Onboarding system. The values of attributes are used to control access within the system, and can be shown on pages and in emails generated in the system. You can also define your own attributes that can be used for these purposes.

How do you change the name of an attribute for your organization?
On the left side of the page, you can change the name of an attribute by entering a word the new text under Override Label and save.
As an example, the overridden label for the Business Unit is given as "Division".

Choose an user role, click on the content category and add the content.

On the Attribute Preferences page, you can unselect any of these attributes in order for those not be able to control the homepage category-driven content.
Once you select or unselect any of the attributes, make sure to click on Save at the bottom page to save the changes.

On the Attribute Preferences page, under User Security Allowed, select or unselect any of the four attributes.
Scroll down and click on Save.

If User Security allowed is checked for an attribute and saved, the attribute will be marked as required in the invitation and Complete Job Details (CJD).
Also the Invitation, CJD field and the Required fields in Process Attribute Preferences show as checked for that attribute and will not be allowed for unchecking.
Example:- Lets check User Security Allowed for "Department" attribute and save the configuration.
Create a new Process Revision or open an "In Progress" Process Revision. Click on Configure Attribute Preferences link.
For the Department attribute, note that the Invitation, CJD field and the Required fields are checked and in read only mode. The fields are not allowed for unchecking.

On the other way, if a process Revision is open, the system will not allow you to change the User Security Allowed option for attributes on the organization Attribute Preferences page. An error message will be displayed as below if you check/uncheck the check box.
