Smart Onboarding Users, when they first login, are presented with a page to set up their Challenge Questions and Answers. Please click here to see the instruction for setting up the Challenge Questions.

This setup can be altered anytime using the Manage Challenge Questions option. 

Who can access Manage Challenge Questions?

Smart Onboarding/I-9 users with all roles can access Manage Challenge Questions.

How do you access Manage Challenge Questions?

Click the menu icon and select "Manage Challenge Questions" under My Account.

The current Challenge Questions setup will be opened for editing as below only if they are enabled in Authentication Preferences.

If the Challenge Questions are not enabled in Authentication Preferences, the following message will be displayed on the page.

How to change your challenge questions?

When you click on "Manage Challenge Questions" link in the left navigation, the challenge questions page displays as below. To edit the details, click on the "Edit" button given at the bottom of the page.

Change your Questions and Answers as required. Enter hints related to your answers and click "Update".

If you click "Cancel" button without updating the changes, the system will ask whether to save or discard the changes.

The "OK" button will take you to the Challenge Questions page to save the changes, whereas the "Cancel" button will navigate to home page.

When you are entering the hints, make sure they are not same as answers. Otherwise, the system displays error message as given below.

To modify an existing question, click on the dropdown and select a new one.

In case you want a new question to be added to this setup, click on "Add new question" option provided at the bottom of the page. 

This will add a new row at the bottom as shown below. 

Modify the question as per your choice, set up an answer and the hint. After you are done with the changes, click "Update".

When modifying or adding a new question, do not choose the questions that are already existing in the setup.

The system checks for duplicates in your selection and displays an error if any. Close the message and select a new question from the list.

For all the modified/added questions, make sure you enter the answers without fail. The system validates if answers are set up for the questions.

Entering the hints is optional. If you don't want the hints to be displayed in the Challenge Question login setup, simply remove the values entered in them.

After the update, you will receive an email confirming the changes to your challenge questions.

When you have the Challenge Questions enabled in the Authentication Preferences, you will be asked to enter them each time you login into the system.

Unless you answer them correctly, you will not be allowed to login into the system. You can click on "Show" and refer to the hints to answer them correctly.
