What is Process Insight?

Process Insight is a utility which can be helpful in resolving questions about a new hire's onboarding process.  Effective use of this utility requires an understanding of technical details of the Smart Onboarding product.  

Who can access Process Insight?

System Administrators and Process Administrators have access to Process Insight.

How do you access Process Insight?

Click the Menu Icon.  Under Misc. Setup, click on Authentication Prefs.

How do you use Process Insight?

This utility is best utilized when working with a Smart ERP support analyst to resolve questions about a new hire's onboarding process.  That person can guide you through the process to use this utility.  An example of how it can be used is shown below.

Select a Business Process ID.  Click Search.

  • Usually there will be only one business process for an organization
  • You can select a specific Business Process ID
  • You can select processes with a specific status

State

  • You can select processes with a specific state
Candidate ID
  • You can select processes for a specific Candidate ID
Invitation ID
  • You can select processes for a specific Invitation ID
First Name
  • You can select processes for new hires with a specific First Name
Last Name
  • You can select processes for new hires with a specific Last Name
  

 

Candidate IDs which match the search criteria are shown.  Click View on the candidate row in which you are interested.

The new hire's process is shown.  Note that all possible steps are shown - not just the ones that are currently in the new hire's process.  Click on the step in which you are interested (in this case Welcome).

The activities in that step are shown.  Click on the activity in which you are interested (in this case Electronic Disclosure).

Details related to this activity are shown.  You can look at more details by clicking the Evaluate Process Variable, Evaluate Process Criteria, and View Participants buttons.
