What is a System Administrator?

A System Administrator (or System Administrator or TA for short) is responsible for all user creation and maintenance, as well as being able to configure all aspects of the Smart Onboarding system, and add or modify content in the system.  You may have as many System Administrators as you want in your organization, but the first user in the system is the default contact with Smart ERP for Smart Onboarding. However, you can change this default contact in Organization Management.

System Administrator High Level Responsibilities
  • Perform any configuration in the system from Homepage design to onboarding activities. Configuration Managers can perform these duties as well.
  • Perform content changes in the system. Configuration Managers and Content Managers can perform these duties as well.
  • Troubleshooting issues within the system.
  • Invite other Organization users to be Configuration Managers, Content Managers and Business Users.
  • Maintain all user accounts in the system.
  • Do not typically work with the New Hires but do work with the Business Users to gather requirements for the onboarding system.

Note: A System Administrator does not have access to the New Hire process, including Invitations and Candidate Console.
