What are Text Catalogs?

Text Catalogs are a is another type of content that can be added to the onboarding system. Text Catalogs They allow you to add text or any include text, images, and other content including images that users can be viewed by users view during their onboarding process. The product comes with some standard Text Catalogs, which can also be attached to the homepage. You can be modified to suit your business needs. You also have the option to add headers, tables, and images to edit the format of the text or use HTML to configure customize the content on the page. Text Catalogs can be created or modified by System Administrators, Process Administrators or Content Administrators in the onboarding process.    's format. Text Catalogs are commonly used in areas such as user login pages, welcome pages, and homepages.


Who can create or modify Text catalogs?

Users with System Administrator, Process Administrator, or Content Administrator role can create or modify Text Catalogs.

How do you add a Text Catalog?

To add a Text Catalog,

Enter the information on the Manage Revision page, with Type as Content, Content Revision information and click "Reserve".

Enter the text catalog Add text or images as necessary in the Text Catalog information and click "Save".

On the Manage Content Revision page, click the "Return to Manage Revision" button to return to the revision main page.

Organization Homepage Configuration



Click on 'Search'. This will display all "Search" to view the Home Pages available in the system. Select initial login page for the New Hire.




Click on 'Edit Content' to update the textthe gear icon on the row where the content is to be edited and select "Edit Content".




Click on the look up icon to select the new Content IDfor Content ID and select the Text Catalog that was newly created in the previous step. Make sure that the Content Type is selected as "T ext set to "Text Catalog".


Select the new text catalog that you have created in the above step.

Save the homepage changes in Organization Homepage Configuration.




When the New Hires login, the new welcome page is shown as below:log in for the first time, they will see the newly configured welcome page.

How do you modify a Text Catalog?

To modify a Text Catalog, you can either create a new Content Revision or update an in progress Content Revision.

To create a new Content Revision, follow the same procedure as before. Select Content for Type, enter "Content" as the Type, specify a Revision Date for when you want the modification to become effective, should take effect, provide a Description, and include the Business Process Business Process ID.

Click on Then, click "Reserve".

Click on The Content Metrics on the Content Revision page lists all the content types. Click "Review/Update" for Text Catalogs.

Click on Select the Text Catalog that you want to update. Let us select the new Text Catalog that we have created in the above stepIn this example, the previously created Text Catalog is selected for updating.

You can also search for the Text Catalog by entering the Content Name or Text ID.

Click "Return" on Text Catalogs to return to the Content Revision page.

On the Manage Content Revision page, click the "Return to Manage Revision" button to return to the revision main page.

Note: Navigate  To add this content to any Home page or login page, navigate to Organization Home Page config as  as the System Administrator and add the new text catalog to any Home Page. if the text catalog Text Catalog. If the Text Catalog has already been added, then there is 's no need to add do it again; the modified content will automatically be displayed to users when accessed.

In this caseexample, the text catalog Text Catalog is already added to the to the New Hire's first-time login page.When the New Hires login, so the modified text is content will be shown on the welcome page as below:Welcome Page when New Hires log in for the first time.

How do you insert binds into a Text Catalog?

Let's take above example of consider the previous Text Catalog used for the Welcome page and insert bind in the place of Organizationreplace "Organization" with a bind

On the Text Catalog page, place your cursor where you would like to add the bind, and click "Insert Binds".  (Note: The process is similar to inserting binds in other places.)

When "Search Binds" lookup is clicked, the search fields display to search for the variable.

When you click on 'Highlight Binds', you will see all You can use the "Highlight Binds" option to view the binds highlighted in yellow. Continue with any additional changes to the Text Catalog and then save.

Click on 'Return' on the Text Catalogs "Return" to return to the Content Revision page.

On the Content Revision page, click Click the "Return to Manage Revision to navigate " button to return to the Manage Revision revision main page.




Apply the revision.





The run time welcome page shows As configured, the bind value of 'Organization' as shown belowfor the "Organization Name" will be shown on the welcome page when accessed.




How do you attach a static image to a Text Catalog?

Let's consider Consider adding a static image to the welcome text on the login page. Before adding the image, the login page content shows as looks like below.

Create a new Content Revision or use an in progress Content Revision to modify the this Text Catalog of the login page. On the Content Revision page, click on "Review/Update" for on the Text Catalogs row.




Browse through Text IDs or Content Names and select any the Text Catalog that requires modification. In this case, the Text Catalog for login page is selected.

The content details of the login page displays will be displayed in the text editor as below.




Place the cursor where you want to add the image and click on "Static Image" option.




Select the image that you want to add to the login page.




The image adds to the page as shown belowgets added in the text editor. Click on "Save".




Return to On the Content Revision page. Click on , click "Return to Manage Revision" to return to the revision main page. 




Apply the Content Revision.

How do you view all of the current Text Catalogs in the system?

Click on the menu icon on the top left corner of the page, and then click "Review Content Revision" under Revisions in the navigation menu.
