I-9 processing is performed by two roles: I-9 Specialist and E-Verify Specialist. The I-9 Specialist performs verification of the New Hire's information. The E-Verify Specialist initiates the USCIS E-Verify process and completes the E-Verify processing in the system. In practice, these roles can be performed by separate users, or one user can be assigned both role types.
