What are Pre-Screening Activities?

The New Hire's onboarding process consists of activities and groups of activities (called steps). In the Pre-Screening step, the New Hire enters information about themselves, including disclosures and required forms that the company selected or made.

How do you complete the Pre-Screening Activities?

This can be done in any order that has a clock beside it, but the locked activities typically need the activity before it to be completed before moving to that activity. Submit Pre-Screen Information needs all of the ones above to have been completed before it unlocks.

By going through everything under the Pre-Screening Activities, and submitting the Pre-Screen information for review to the HR Specialist, you can move on to the New Hire Forms.

After reading the disclosure, click on the box to check acknowledgement.

Click Electronically Acknowledged button.

This page only shows if the New Hire's work location is in California and Credit Check was "Yes" on the invitation.

After reading the disclosure, click on the box to confirm acknowledgement, then click Electronically Acknowledged button.

Background Check Authorization

Read the authorization, enter the information and save the activity.

When completing the form, enter the information as follows:

List any maiden name or the other name(s) used and the number of years used in the fields highlighted below.





By default the page displays the present address (populated from the "Employee Information" activity) and the "United States" as the country code in the previous residential address Country field.

Based on the Country selected in the drop-down, the address field format displaying on the page vary. 





This activity can be saved with/without entering the previous residential address.

When From Date and To Date are entered and other address fields are left blank, the following error message displays on the page.




After entering the address, if From Date and To Date are left blank, the following error shows on the page.




Also, the date fields are validated and the following errors messages display when they are entered wrong.

When To Date is less than From Date



If you want to add an additional previous residential address, you can add a new row in this by clicking on "Add Prior Address".




When saving the activity, do not keep the newly added prior address fields blank. Either you enter the data in the new row or delete the blank row before saving. 




If the fields are left blank in the new address row and the form is saved, then it will display the following error message on the page.




Also, make sure there is no overlap in the range of dates entered in the address fields. Otherwise, the page displays the following error message.

Likewise, you can add as many residential addresses rows as you want and save the activity.




If you live, work, or provide services for the Company in California, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, Oklahoma, or Washington and need a free copy of your background check report, then check the checkbox that is highlighted below and save.





Once the activity is saved, the form will be editable until  "Submit Pre-Screen Information" is completed.

Select any one option and click Next.

Click on Yes or No for Other Names.

If you resided in Puerto Rico, fill out the information.

Click Next.

Fill out the information.  The fields with asterisk are required.

Note: if you select Drivers License as the ID Type, then, you need to enter that information as well.

Enter your residence information for the last 10 years (in this example). The Country field displays the United States by default.

Based on the value selected in the Country drop-down, the address fields change. Note that the fields with asterisk are required.

The other information for current address is auto-filled, and can be changed.

Indicate when you resided at that address. Click on "Next".

If you have no prior employment, you don't need to enter employment information. Click on the check box.

Otherwise, enter all the fields and click "Next".

Enter your previous education addresses.

The fields with asterisk are required.

Click on "Next".

Click an option "Yes" or "No".

Fill out the information that has asterisks.

Click the box at the end to certify. Click on "Save".

After you enter all the information check the box at the end to certify.

Drug and Alcohol Policy

Click on the download symbol to be able to review the Drug and Alcohol Test Policy.

Click the check box to acknowledge and click "Electronically Acknowledged" button.

Select "Yes" or "No".  

Click the box to acknowledge reading the authorization.

Select one of the choices.

Awaiting HR Processing

If your onboarding process had "hold" selected for Pre-Screen processing, you must wait for the HR Specialist to review the Pre-Screen information before you can proceed to the next onboarding activity.

Until the HR Specialist completes the process, you cannot have access to the next activity (New Hire Forms).

If 'No' is selected for 'Hold for PreScreen Processing', there is no need to wait for the HR Specialist to complete the process. You can continue with the next onboarding activity.
