Often, Users need to break the Rules, Smart SoD allows you to create mitigations with reasons and expiry dates in such circumstances. Mass Mitigations allow you to mitigate multiple Users at the same time, if you have for example 20 Users that all need mitigating from a Rule for the same reason you can apply a note to all 20 Users at once.
Step-by-step guide
Smart Solutions→Segregation of Duties->Maintenance→Mass Mitigation
- There is no search console here, to search a list of existing mitigations you can navigate here: Add/Update Mitigations
- Choose a Model, Start Date, End Date and Rule ID
- Enter a Mitigating Reason that will be applied to all of the Users you select in the subsequent list
- This list is below the Mitigate button and allows you to enter as many Users as required
An expiry date is always mandatory as Mitigations should be reviewed on a periodic basis
