Process Defaults
This feature allows users to define process constants for using within the business process of an organization.
Who has access to Process Defaults?
Users with System Administrator role have access to Process Defaults.
How to access Process Defaults?
Click on the menu icon and select "Process Defaults" under Product Setup in the menu navigation on the left.
How do you define process constants using this feature?
On the Define Process Constants page, search for the Business Process IDs existing in your organization.
If you know the Business Process ID, enter in the search field. Otherwise, simply click on the "Search" button.
This will display all business processes in your organization. Select a Business Process ID from the displayed list.
On the secondary page, enter the Constant ID, Description, Constant Value and save. Once it is saved, the constant value can be used anywhere in the Business Process.
How to add additional rows for the same effective date?
To add new constants for the specified effective date, select the "Add Constant" button located at the bottom right of the current row.
Enter values in the new row added.
If you want to create a new set of constants with different effective date, click on the "Add" button located at the top right corner.
A new row will be added in sequence. Enter the effective date, process constant details and save. Note: Make sure the effective date added must be greater than its previous dates.
The below error message will be displayed if the sequence is not followed in the effective dates.
