Product Related Preferences are used to allow organizations to specify if they do or do not use certain features that are available in the Smart Onboarding product.  

Who can access Product Related Preferences?

System Administrators and Process Administrators can access Product Related Preferences.

How do you access Product Related Preferences?

Click the Menu Icon.

Under Misc. Setup, click More.

How do you specify your Product Related Preferences?

The system is delivered with a DEFAULT Preference Name.  You can change the default preferences to match the behavior that you would like in your system.

Click Details.

Initially all Properties are "on" - set to a Value of "Yes (True)".  If you do not want to use the feature, change the Value to No (False).

The chart below describes the differences in Behavior when the Properties are set to "Yes" and "No".

AllowHRISByPass

  • If set to "Yes", when the New Hire's data has been verified, the HR Specialist can choose to send the New Hire's data to an HR Information System, or skip this update.
  • If set to "No", when the New Hire's data has been verified, the HR data is always sent to an HR Information System.

AllowPayCheckByMail

  • If set to "Yes", the New Hire has the option to receive pay by mail, or direct deposit.
  • If set to "No", the New Hire can only receive pay by direct deposit.

EnableDriversLicenseOnEBI

  • If set to "Yes", the New Hire can enter their driver's license information in Biographic Information.
  • If set to "No", the New Hire cannot enter their driver's license information in Biographic Information.

RelaxDOBValidation

  • If set to "Yes", the New Hire must be at least 15 years of age.
  • If set to "No", the New Hire must be at least 18 years of age.
UseBGCOnInvitation
  • If set to "Yes", the HR Specialist or Recruiter can include Background Check/Pre-screening when creating the New Hire's invitation.
  • If set to "No", Background Check/Pre-screening is never a part of any New Hire's onboarding.
