Integration with PeopleSoft HRMS

The main difference between standalone Smart E-Verify and using Smart E-Verify integrated with PeopleSoft HCM is that the Section 1 and Section 2 information is populated into Smart E-Verify from earlier steps in the PeopleSoft HCM process. Once the data has been populated, the verification process continues as in standalone Smart E-Verify

Section 1 and Section 2 Information

Information for Section 1 and Section 2 is entered in these PeopleSoft HRMS components:

• Add a Person
• Modify a Person
• Complete and Submit I-9 Form

Initiate Employee E-Verify Utility

Use this utility to initiate the DHS E-Verify process for an employee whose I-9 information has been entered through PeopleSoft HRMS.

Navigate to the Smart E-Verify Case Polling Process by clicking Smart E-Verify Configurator, and then clicking Smart I-9 Initiate E-Verify.

Navigate to Smart I-9 Initiate E-Verify

Search by Employee ID

Click Search.

Select Employee ID

Click the Empl ID for which you want to initiate E-Verify.

I-9 ID is Displayed

The employee's I-9 information is displayed.

Scroll to the bottom of the page.

Change and Save I-9 Information

Update any necessary information, then click Save.

Initiate E-Verify

Click Initiate E-Verify.

The remaining E-Verify processing is the same as in standalone Smart E-Verify.
