Revisions
What is a revision?
A revision is a change or set of changes made to Smart Onboarding by an Administrative User. Through a revision, users can add and modify content, specify where the new content will be used in the onboarding process, and determine who will see it. Each revision includes a specified date for when the change will take effect, allowing users to schedule updates for the future without affecting the current process.
There are three types of revisions:
Content Revisions: Allows Administrative Users to add or modify content that is used within the onboarding process. There can be many Content Revisions open at a time. For details on various content types which can be configured through a Content Revision, please refer the Content Revision page.
Process Revisions: Allows Administrative Users to include content that was added or changed in a Content Revision, review and alter the onboarding flow, or attach contextual onboarding content. For more details, please refer the Process Revision page.
Attribute Revisions: Allows Administrative Users to add/modify process attributes and add home page content specific to few attributes. It can also be used to change the content and presentation of emails that are sent to new hires and users outside of the business process (e.g. actions related to invitations). For details on adding/modifying attributes, please refer the Attribute Revisions page.
Where are revisions in the onboarding process?
Revisions are not part of the onboarding process, but are used to modify elements of the business process. Revisions can be created at any time by an Administrative User.
Why are revisions needed?
Revisions are required to modify the Smart Onboarding process, and each type serves a specific purpose. Content Revisions are used to add or update content within the system. Process Revisions adjust the onboarding process and incorporate contextual onboarding content. Attribute Revisions are used to add or alter attributes used in the process and to modify the default homepage content.

What is the difference between Content Revision, Process Revision and Attribute Revision?
Content Revision
Content Revisions allow Administrative Users to add or modify content within the onboarding system. This content can later be incorporated into a homepage configuration or included in your business process via a Process Revision. Content Revisions can also be used to update notifications, set up verification vendors, and more. Multiple Content Revisions can be active simultaneously.
Process Revision
Process Revisions allow Administrative Users to determine where content is used within the onboarding process. They also allow users to configure business process rules, manage Events & Notifications, and add Ad hoc Reports for download during the onboarding process.
Attribute Revision
Attribute Revisions enable Administrative Users to add or modify key data (attributes) used in the onboarding process and adjust homepage content related to specific attributes. With Attribute Revisions, you can define custom attributes and use them in Process Revisions to control access to content or pages within the onboarding process. This is particularly useful for tailoring content display based on users' roles or attributes such as Company, Business Unit, Location, or Department.
The table below lists what can be done with Content Revisions, Process Revisions and Attribute Revisions.
