Add Model
This section describes how to create or modify a Model, the foundation for all Rules.
Model: A Model is basically a set of active Functions or Rules which can be created and grouped together as per the organizational requirements. For example, if the organization has set some top n number of Functions which it feels are crucial and cannot be violated at any cost, then it can be set or defined in one Model; or, you may define a different scheme for your Models based on your specific business and industry requirements.
Description: High-level, functionally oriented purpose of Model.
Elimination Set: Tag the Elimination Set to the model that is used to collectively identify all eliminations from showing in the conflict.
Use for Proactive Check: Check this field to enable the model for Proactive check. Only one model can be assigned for proactive check.
Step-by-step guide
Navigate to Segregation of Duties → Setup → Add Model
- Once you have navigated to the Add Model Page, you can find any existing Models or Add a new one. In this step by step we will add a new one.
- Add a Model and give it a name - make sure to use UPPER CASE characters to define the Model Name.
- You will now be presented with a Page that has 3 elements that you can modify: Description, Elimination Set and a checkbox for 'Use for Proactive Check.'
- Enter a Description.
- At this stage we have no elimination sets created so we ignore this section (if you have an elimination set you can come back to this step).
- If we want this model and its Rules to be used when checking Role assignments to Users then check the box.
- Save the Model
