Define Justification Codes

Justification Codes are used as a way to justify why a Rule exists. These codes allow for uniformity in your justification.

Justification Code: This is always a number and it is used to control and report on access to related business functions.

Justification Text: The description of the actual purpose of the rule is entered in this field.

Last Updated By: This shows which user has defined or last updated this justification code.

Last Updated: This shows the date and time the justification code has been created or last updated.

Step-by-step guide

Navigate to Segregation of Duties → Setup → Define Justification Codes

  1. You can either search for any Justification Codes that have been created or create a new one by clicking Add a New Value. For this Step by step we will create a new one.
  2. On creating a new Justification Code you will have two fields to enter values: Justification Text and a Long Description. Enter the required information for both of them and then Save. The process of adding a justification code is complete.
  3. You can create as many Codes as you require.

Justification Codes are optional, but useful for reporting or providing evidence to those inquiring how and why Rules have been created.
