.Manage Revisions v1.4
What is a Revision?
Revisions in Smart Onboarding are what let Administrative Users add and modify content to their Business Process without automatically changing current behavior. With revisions, Administrative Users can control when the changes are applied to the current system behavior.
There are two different types of revisions: Content Revisions, and Process Revisions.
Content Revisions are what allow Administrative Users to add Content to the system. This content could be something like a pdf or an image, or a Smart Form, that can be shown at different times during the onboarding process. It includes creating the content to be included in activities for the onboarding process. There can be many Content Revisions open at any given time.
Process Revisions are what allow Administrative Users to modify the onboarding process, Homepage Content and Master Attributes. Due to the complexity of Process Revisions, there can only be one Process Revision open at a time.
Where are Revisions in the Onboarding Process?
Revisions are not part of the onboarding process, but they are used to modify any element of the business process, from wording to the activities required for New Hires to complete. Revisions can be accessed at any point after an Administrative User has finished their Onboarding Process.
Why are Revisions needed in the Business Process?
Content Revisions are created to make changes to Content. You can create Content Revisions and revise content in them, without affecting the current process. For example, if you want to set up a Verification Vendor, you would add or update the Verification Vendor in a Content Revision. This change would not show in the business process until the Content Revision was applied.
Administrative Users can control when changes make it to the final system and also define the date when these changes will take affect.
Who can access Manage Revisions?
System Administrators, Process Administrators and Content Administrators are the three roles that are able to access the Manage Revisions component. It is important to note that Content Administrators will not be able to create Process Revisions; however, System Administrators and Process Administrators are able to add both Process Revisions and Content Revisions.

What's the difference between a Process Revision and a Content Revision?
Content Revision
Content Revisions are what allow Administrative Users to add Content to the Onboarding system. This content can later be added to a Homepage Configuration or added to your business process through a Process Revision. Content Revisions can also be used to change notifications, set up verification vendors, etc. Many Content Revisions can be in process at the same time.
Process Revision
Process Revisions are what allow Administrative Users to append existing Content to different activities throughout the onboarding process. Administrative Users are also able to perform other functions such as Mass Uploading Attributes to the system, as well as adding Ad hoc Reports to be downloaded at the completion of the onboarding process. An extensive list with links to each function are listed below for both Content Revisions and Process Revisions.
