Benefits Activities

For New Hires to enroll in company benefits, they must provide consent within the Employment Information activity. Note: For this benefits activity to appear in their onboarding process, the benefit program for which they are eligible must be linked to their invitation, and the related benefits activities should be properly configured within their business process.

How do you enroll in company benefits?

To enroll in company benefits, select "Yes" for Benefits Elections in the Employment Information (Biographic Information) activity. If "No" is selected, the benefits activities will not appear in your onboarding process.

What activities are included in benefits?

The following activities are included in benefits:

  • Define Dependents & Beneficiaries
  • Benefits Enrollment
  • Life Insurance Designation
  • Voluntary Benefits Enrollment

How can the information provided in benefits activities be edited after they are completed?

The information provided in the benefits activities can be edited until the "Submit to HR" activity is completed. To make changes to any benefits activity, click the "Edit" button located at the bottom of the activity page. This will open the activity in edit mode.

The below example shows editing the Voluntary Benefits activity.

The fields in the Voluntary Benefits activity will open in edit mode as shown below.

Update the information for Employee and Dependents as needed. Similar to the add mode, the field values (Plan Type, Benefit Plan, and Coverage) are validated, and error messages will be displayed if any issues are found. For more details on Voluntary Benefits field validations, please click here.

If new attachments have been configured in the Benefit Plan setup, they will appear in the edit mode.

After updating the information save the activity.

Can you delete the person details from the benefits activity?

Dependents/Beneficiaries can be deleted if they are not enrolled in any benefits, as long as the "Submit to HR" activity has not been completed.

However, if the individual is already enrolled in any benefits, deletion is not possible. To remove a person’s details, click "Delete" on the corresponding row.

A pop-up confirmation message will display as below. Click "Yes" to continue.

The row will be removed from the Dependent/Beneficiary list. Be sure to save the changes afterward.

If the individual is enrolled in benefits, the following message displays when you try to delete the corresponding row.
