Who is a System Administrator?

A System Administrator is responsible for all user creation and maintenance, as well as being able to configure all aspects of the Smart Onboarding system, and add or modify content in the system.  You can have as many System Administrators as you like in your organization.  The first user in the system is the default contact with Smart ERP for Smart Onboarding.  You can change this default contact in the Organization Management.

System Administrator High Level Responsibilities
  • Make configuration changes in the system from Homepage design to onboarding activities. Process Administrators can perform these duties as well.
  • Make content changes in the system. Process Administrators and Content Administrators can perform these duties as well.
  • Troubleshoot issues within the system.
  • Invite other organization users as Process Administrators, Content Administrators and Business Users.
  • Maintain all user accounts in the system.
  • Do not typically work with New Hires.
  • Work with Business Users to gather requirements for the onboarding system.

What actions can a System Administrator perform?

This table shows the various menu actions that can be accessed by a System Administrator.  You can click the links provided for details on each Menu category or item.

Note: A System Administrator does not have access to New Hire process information. They do not have access to the invitations or the Invitation Console.
