Administrative Users

Who is an Administrative User?

Administrative Users are responsible for configuring the system for use by the other users and New Hires.

There are 3 Administrative User roles:

User Role  Description
System Administrator
  • Able to invite users
  • In addition to the User Onboarding, the first System Administrator must perform Organization Onboarding to activate the organization for use
  • Has both the Process Administrator's and Content Administrator's areas of control
  • Acts as the connection between the Organization and Smart ERP
Process Administrator
  • Able to perform all of the Content Administrator's actions
  • Configures the business process
  • Configures the business rules
Content Administrator
  • Imports and maintains content to be added or changed in the system
  • Ensures the correct content, policies, and information is being presented


A System Administrator can do everything a Process Administrator and a Content Administrator can do, plus user maintenance.  A Process Administrator can do everything a Content Administrator can do, plus onboarding configuration and homepage configuration.  A Content Administrator can perform any content revisions.

What pages can Administrative Users access?

Based on the administrative role assigned to the user, they can access different pages and actions within the Smart Onboarding process.

A System Administrator can perform all actions.  A Process Administrator can perform all setup duties, while a Content Administrator can only perform Content related changes.

In short, a System Administrator can do everything a Process Administrator and a Content Administrator can do.  A Process Administrator can do everything a Content Administrator can do. A Content Administrator can only make content changes.
